Josh Green Contract Extended

DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have extended the contract of 4th year guard Josh Green. Details of the extension have not yet been made available to the media.

Dallas Mavericks GM and VP of Basketball Operations Nico Harrison said of Green, “His energy is contagious for our group, and when he’s in the game he pushes his teammates to play at a different speed. Josh is a high-level person and teammate, and we are happy to have him with our program for the long term.”

Green enters into this season having achieved career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and minutes in the 2022-23 season. When called upon to be a starter last season, he averaged 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 31.3 minutes in 21 games.

During what many consider a breakout season Green was able to find his footing in a Dallas Mavericks rotation with many talented and established guards.

The guard spent his summer contributing to the Australian National team in FIBA competition with whom he won a bronze medal during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
